A beautiful story between Florian confectionery and Manelli

You know how much our Nice roots mean to us, which is why it is a real pleasure to collaborate with the famous Florian confectionery.

We had the chance to go behind the scenes at the Florian confectionery shop at 14 Quai Papacino 06300 Nice.
As soon as we arrived, the smells and colors struck us. A warm atmosphere, filled with delicious treats and good vibes.
We were welcomed by Sandrine Wyler, the general manager, who very kindly told us their story.

Indeed, it's a family affair. In 1949, the great-grandfather was already involved in the confectionery and chocolate business, and in 1970 he decided to buy back the equipment and also the Florian name. Continuing the Florian adventure was a bold but logical and, above all, beneficial choice. Maintaining and preserving a business in Nice that produced chocolate and sweets was a stroke of genius.
In 1994, the company decided to modernize its premises and bring color to its shops.
Today, it's the brother and sister, the great-grandchildren, who have taken over the reins, so we're talking about a four-generation legacy! It's thanks to the quality of the products that the confectionery has earned its reputation, and thanks to the passion of the family, this Nice-based company remains at the forefront of the industry. The company currently employs around fifty people.

Open 7 days a week and closed only on December 25th, the confectionery shop offers free tours and tastings. This allows customers to discover the candy or chocolate from its creation to the final package. However, Sandrine Wyler specifies that the manufacturing secret will never be revealed. A magician explaining his magic tricks is unheard of, and the same is true for Florian's confectionery.

We then asked the managing director what, for her, defined a good confectioner. Her answer was clear and precise: passion, because without passion and without a desire to create and innovate, the result will not be the same.
It is thanks to this enthusiasm that the confectionery aims to create one or two new products each year, without ever abandoning its traditional character. She also explains that her workers wear two hats, that of confectioner and that of chocolatier, and each has received training in both fields. She confides that the selection of artisans is based on their passion and meticulousness.

Florian is present at certain trade fairs such as the Rose Fair, the Violet Fair, and the Chocolate Fair in Monaco.

Always looking further afield, Florian's confectionery and chocolates can now be found on shelves in Russia, Switzerland, and England. We also learned that Florian is often associated with big names and personalities, especially on the cliffs of Monaco.

The goal in the coming years is to open several small boutiques, showcasing the company. Their role will be to present the products and will simply be points of sale.

Manelli is therefore fortunate to be able to supply this strong organization with their professional clothing. Sandrine Wyler highlights the quality of our products. She emphasizes that the uniforms showcase tradition, rigor, and classicism while incorporating that touch of color that is now an integral part of the Florian brand.
